Honda Rally

The 50th Anniversary National Rally was indeed a lavish affair.

Held at Billing Aquadrome in Northamptonshire, a very large site with a great indoor venue, many lakes and various activities on offer.

Friday night there was a free carvery which was of a very high standard and a disco as the entertainment.

Saturday there was a large ride out to a pub called the Spread Eagle in Corby for lunch. There was also a scatter rally.

Then on Saturday night the big party with a free buffet, again to a very high standard, and Camouflage playing two sets with a fireworks display in between. Fancy dress was the order of the day (I was Virgil from Thunderbirds) and much dancing and drinking completed.

I left on Sunday morning but the rally was still on till Monday morning with test rides at a local Honda dealer and a talent contest on Sunday night.

This was a top class rally and I would like to thank the people whose hard work and time has made the rally and all the other events and the Honda Owners Club merchandise so enjoyable over the past year.
