Axel Bodeit (Moto Guzzi T3), Jurgen Krechel (BMW K100 Basis II) and I (BMW K100 RS) started early on 27 September 1991 on the usual route to the port in Calais.
Strengthened by lunch on the ferry, we continued towards Welford upon Avon to the pub "The Four Alls".
After setting up the tents, briefly freshen up with cold water and then of course the first pint of cold lager.
Saturday morning after a delicious English breakfast explore the countryside, take a trip to Wellesbourne Airfield Market and then to the Burton Dassett Hills. For me a beautiful place with a view over the landscape.
Both evenings in the pub with lots of nice people, very good food and of course with a pint or two.
Incidentally, we also received the tankard for the longest journey from the continent.
That was a year without a breakdown or problems on the outward and return journey.
