Norton Day

11th April 2004

Somebody had let the planning lapse a bit, or had underestimated the number of Nortons attending, as there weren't just Nortons in the somewhat limited parking area in front of the Ace Café. Even so, somebody at the gate did query my reason to gain access to the inner sanctum, until I pointed out the bike's maker plastered all over the fairing and tank. On other occasions, the admittance was more strictly adhered to, and the general public had to park outside.

It has to be said, though, that some of the Harleys were well decorated, and the other British classics were nicely restored.

To be honest, I think the Police bike fleet outnumbered the Nortons on display, but I counted quite a few outside.
