Power Bike Treffen

August 1979, Venlo, Holland.

After a couple of years of continental rallying I had seen many people sporting what must have been the largest most impressive rally badge on the continent. Only the Texans could have anything bigger and in 1979 I finally got the chance to call in and see what it was all about.

The site was just outside of Venlo, well organised (but at the moment I can't recall the club) large good field, huge beer tent with a very loud band. There must have been 300 plus riders on Friday evening. The good weather would have helped.

Again this was just a fleeting visit; I had other places to be. I planned to visit the following year and camp but never heard of the event again.
