Peter Wright

Updated December 2008.

There are plenty of old pals who should be telling tales about Wishbone.

Many old friends recall Wishbone for his sharp humour from the 1960s when he was editor of Megaphone and club runs captain on his Tiger 90 and BSA Lightning.

After raising a family Peter is now enjoying his grandchildren and the start of retirement. He has kept in contact with Paul Draycott and Alan Jarvis. He is also a regular helper at our National Rally controls.

Pete returned to motorcyling with a new Royal Enfield Bullet after a 35 year break. Even though not the best time of year to ride, he claims the runs out he has done have been enjoyable.

Nickname

Always known as Wishbone, the name must go back to the wise cook in Rawhide which was a TV cowboy series in the 1960s that also introduced an actor who played Rowdy Yates - Clint Eastwood.
