Editorial - Nov/Dec 1977

Merry Christmas everybody, and welcome to the Christmas edition of Megaphone.

With these wet and miserable nights what could be better than to curl up in front of the fire and remember those lazy hazy days of summer. Even this year's dismal summer seems good compared to the weather now. This edition contains two stories to remember past summers by: The Girl from Ginger Hall, a delightful short story set in the Isle of Man, and the story of the 1976 FIM Rally (that was the year of the great escape).

Bringing us back to the present sub-zero temperatures a poem titled The Dragon Rallyists reminds us of those foolhardy people who attend winter rallies, and on page ten are details of a few rallies to be held this winter.

On page sixteen Setright persuades us to ride fast and agressive and the new Bogri article shows us what happens when we do. You may remember that the last issue I said that Bogri had come to an end but Ben was easily persuaded by the Bogri Appreciation Soc. to dream up some more adventures and Bogri and the Speed Cop is a masterpiece thanks largely to Ben's new character P.C. Maurice Skidmark.

Don't forget January 3rd when M.C.News will be staging their Racing Film Show at the De-Montfort Hall. Admission is a pound and all the films are new.

Thanks are due to Ben, Sheila and members of the committee for this issue.
