Dear Sir, 24 Hour NON STOP RIDE. Your letter of the 24th November has been passed to me for attention and action. Although I have enquired through various departments regarding arrangements made with your club for financial assistance in connection with this attempt, I have been unable to locate any previous correspondence. If you would be good enough to send me full details of the arrangements agreed I will arrange for you to receive the outstanding cheque without further delay. May I apologise most sincerely for the delay in finalising this arrangement and ask everyone connected with this fine attempt to accept our heartiest congratulations. Yours sincerely, D.L. Joyce.

For the attention of Mr. Ross McWhirter Dear Mr. McWhirter, With further reference to my telephone conversation last week asking if our motorcycle venture could be included in the Guinness Book of Records, I enclose copy of items taken from press cuttings, also a letter from the B.M.F, confirming the attempt as being authentic. I feel I should draw your attention to the fact that the date stated on the B.M.F. letter is incorrect and should be 28/29 September 1972. This error could be due to the fact that we had an option on two dates for the time, and no doubt this is how the confusion has arisen. Yours sincerely E. Tindall,
Competitions Secretary.
