Golden Fleece, South Croxton

9th October 2004

Phil Freestone organised a terrific evening at one of our favourite drinking haunts. There were sixteen of us sat at the table and by the end of the evening we were begining to slide under it.

Les Freestone won the spot prize for the most flowery hat.

Before the food arrived Dave and Diane Scrivens began to count the calories of their edible friends.

Tony Bradley stuck to his usual beverage and confided to Dave Scrivens that he didn't like the look of ...

... Thomas's combined cocktail and party hat.

As the evening continued Ken and Margaret Wells became less able to untie their fingers.

It took several minutes of study for the joke to sink in ...

... but is was worth the wait.

Chris Vines noticed that every time Phil Freestone missed his mouth with the spoon he went a trifle deaf.

It was the unanimous decision of all assembled that Phil had organised a first class evening.
